Following the release of their lively new single ‘Best in Town’, Hooper Crescent release ‘Instant Lawn’, the second single off their digital double single through Spoilsport Records. Recorded during the same session as ‘Best in Town’, the song was written “in the pressure cooker environment of a fast approaching recording deadline, with little time to obsess over perceived imperfections”.

‘Instant Lawn’ uses simplicity and repetitive rhythms to its advantage, which gives space to multiple hooks and the vocals to interchange over the top. It was born from the backdrop of a post-JobKeeper pandemic economy and turns its lens towards the artificial lifestyles that emerge when inequitable housing models go unchecked for too long.

‘Instant Lawn’ is the B-side of a digital double single released by Spoilsport Records on February 4th.
